IGE, the International Gaming Expo, has opposed LCA, the London Casino Conference in the last year. But according to a report it has been found that IGE might now require the LCA.
The IGE has been noticed to have become more stuffy and to some extent expensive while the LCA has been known as more network-friendly. Jenni Shuttleworth of Intergame Online found that there was another boost in the number of online exhibitors at the exhibition. This year saw IGE integrated for the first time.
The market has in recent times noticed operations from several amusement companies and land-based casino branch online, Shuttleworth states. But the industry is already inundated and legality questions still hang about.
The information shared in this year’s IGE is nothing short of pipe dreams. Especially, online gambling may be legally recognized in the US over the course of the next 18 months. Mark McGuinness, the vice president of marketing at racing2day.com, informed iNTERGAMINGi that online bingo is expected to be brought in to the market first. He also told, “Bingo is seen as a softer form of gambling as opposed to the likes of poker”.
The buzz in this year’s London affiliate show is that LCA holds close the online poker community. It is something that IGE seems less predisposed to do.
If you are coming from outside Europe and looking to meet and mingle at IGE, you’re pretty much out of luck as you are not already part of the recognized group. It is really fascinating that a number of people this year decided to pass by the IGE show and fly into London exclusively for LCA.
