Lawmakers of the State of Illinois have agreed to open up for expanding and popularizing Video Gambling. But it has been witnessed in the last couple of weeks that local authorities are not unison with the state lawmakers.

Banning Video Casino has become a well discussed matter in the gambling enclaves of Illinois. In fact, the state has passed the onus of banning Video Gambling to the local authorities. It has been seen that more and more local authorities are turning down the plan of expanding Video Casino for earning more revenue. The list of such opponent city localities is increasing day by day. They don’t want expansion of Video Poker in their localities and hence banning it.

The latest name in the list of cities in Illinois that banned Video Gaming is Carbondale. The result of voting went in favor of ban at 4-to-3. Thus, Video Gaming gets banned in bars and restaurants in Carbondale.

According to Morris, one of the frustrated Video Gaming enthusiasts complain, “From now on, if I have to play then I have to travel outside the city to quench my thirst. What are the local authorities up to?  Don’t think about the citizens you bl**** hypocrites, but at least think about your coffers.”

Many council members pointed out the fact that lottery gambling is legal in Illinois from which the state is earning a lot of US Dollars. Video Gaming machines have no qualitative difference from Lotteries. It seems wrong to penalize only one when both of them are basically the same. They consider this banning as completely unwanted.

In a historic dialogue between two global trading giants- the USA and China, both nations have agreed on the importance of an unobstructed and free trade in respect to online gambling.  In the economic and strategic dialogue both the countries has decided to honor international pledges to be the highest priority and consider open trade in the best interest of both nations.

The officials of both China and USA told media personnel that both the countries have emphasized on the significance of an open and free trade. Meanwhile, as far as the present situation is concerned both nations impose some measures to obstruct competition or admittance to their online betting industry. In fact, the global online gaming industry finds these two nations to be the most repressive ones when it comes to free trade.

The United States Treasury Secretary – Mr. Timothy Geithner, at the end of the discussions said that both countries talked on their currency policy and about the requirement of maintaining a fair competition on the national borders opening new opportunities for free and fair business. In the words of Mr. Timothy Geithner “ The United States and China are among the biggest beneficiaries of the global trading system and share a common interest in ensuring that global trade and investment remain open and rules-based”. The delegates from both countries assured that their governments are acting upon the improvement of the international business conditions and reject every type of protectionist acts.

However, when considering the ground reality of present times it seems that much of the talks are mostly hollow. Business policies of both China and the United States related to online gambling are not yet free or open, when we talk about business. This is probably the very first time when politicians are rethinking about their own decisions.
