The Florida Government now permitted the Seminole Casinos to include blackjack and other Class 3 games. According to this casino pact the Seminole casinos will have to pay $1 billion in the course of five years for balancing the State’s budget.

Charlie Crist, the Governor of the Seminole tribe has been working to make this pact successful since November 2007. This was his third attempt to get this permit approved by the Florida Government. In the year 2009, the state’s revenue went down by 12.8% due to the shrinkage in population and drop in home rates. So, Crist proposed to offer $430 million on behalf of the Seminole tribe to adjust a deficit of 3.2 billion. Additionally, according to the first deal signed on 14^th November 2007, the State will receive an amount of $287 million by the Seminole tribe in escrow.
