According to sources, there are mainly two legislations of Barney’s Internet Gambling Bill which are under review:
1. The first legislation deals with the basic framework for legalizing and regulating online gambling.
2. The second legislation will try to delay the UIGEA rules to take effect this December.
Let’s get united to repeal UIGEA
In fact, this is Barney Frank’s second try in turning over UIGEA. He was unsuccessful in his attempt last year. But this year he is very optimistic about turning over this uneven law. His another base of optimism lies in the fact that both the House and the Senate is controlled by the Democrats. I like to emphasize here that Senator Robert Mendez of New Jersey is also preparing to bring a similar legislation in the Senate in favor of legalizing online gambling.
